I Found a Gem!
Like gems, good people are sometimes hard to find. At a recent Chamber of Commerce event, I met the most amazing woman! She gave a brief presentation about her business and everything she said resonated with me. We have nearly the same vision on how we strive to help small businesses. As it turns out, she was seated at my table, so when she returned to her seat I complimented her, and we discussed the importance of supporting new and small business owners in our community. I guess I made an impression on her, too—by the end of the luncheon we had plans to meet up again to discuss working together.
Fast-forward a bit—we have been working together for the last few months. She has told me all about her business and how she contributes to the local community by helping local students intern and work part-time at her company, how she teaches business owners about accounting principles so they can understand their financial reports. She has a heart of gold, and I know that everyone who crosses her path can see and feel it.
Yes, she is truly a gem. I am so glad to have met her, and I hope you'll take a moment to get to know her, too. Let me introduce you to Susan Tolbert of Your Books Accounting. You can find her here!
